Coaching

“Hey Coach!”

In little league, the NFL, and in soccer camps around the world, a coach is someone that teaches, consoles, trains, offers a shoulder to lean on, and can be counted on for swift correction.  The coach is the one that teaches teamwork, fundamentals, and how to win in style.

In the world of work, a coach is something a little different.  The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.  A coach is not a therapist or consultant, a trainer or mentor.

If you’re working with a coach, you can expect to stretch yourself, find the answers to some of your tough questions within your mind and your network, and to discover how to leverage your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses to win.

The coach is your trusted advisor, someone that will help you hold the mirror up to yourself and see not only what others see, but also your potential for impact in a particular situation.
